Even at first magnificent glance, you'll see the Maple Island difference. Full-log gable ends and log roof framing are Maple Island exclusive hallmarks, and just a couple of the many distinctive nuances that define our handcrafted log homes.
Our handcrafted log homes retain the logs' unique personalities and natural characteristics. They lend a warm, natural appearance and never butted together within a wall. Logs for pre-cut or milled style homes are machined to uniform shape and thickness in order to conform to predictable, formatted assembly procedures. It's like comparing an original oil painting masterpiece to a mass-produced, imitation print. They are soulless by comparison.

Building handcrafted log homes is not a side business with us. We don’t sell home kits. We don’t build pre-cut log homes, stick-built homes or residences of any other kind. For over 30 years we've built hundreds of custom, handcrafted log homes. This is our specialty…and still the only thing we do.

No two Maple Island Log Homes are the same. And while idea starters are available to help you choose what design elements you favor, each home is a unique expression of your own needs and tastes. Our in-house design staff guides the process personally, creating individualized plans that coordinate function and feel, while making the most of your home site's unique topographical nuances.

The Process
Rather than trust our good name to dealer representatives or marketers, we work directly with homebuyers themselves, or their representatives. You can come directly to us with any concerns, questions, desires or issues. There are no middlemen to get in the way of timely and efficient communication.
