Since owner designs are different for every log home, an ala carte price list isn’t possible. But most projects can be estimated on a cost per square foot basis. Milled log home builders are often fond of comparing prices that aren’t quite apples-to-apples. When Maple Island quotes your project, it includes the labor to pre-build the log structure in our log yard as well as assistance to re-erect the logs on your site. When you purchase a milled log home, you are buying a materials package only. You will be responsible (at additional cost) for all the cutting, constructing and finessing that will take place on your site over weeks, if not months. In the end, there simply isn't the price difference that the homeowners are often led to believe exists.
